Extension FAQ

1.     What are the supported platforms?

Dolphin Connect extensions are available for ChromeFirefox or Safari desktop browsers.

2.     How do I install the extension on my desktop?

Download Chrome extension by searching “Dolphin Connect” on Chrome Web Store, or use these links to download Firefox or Safari.

3.     How do I log in to the extension with Dolphin Sonar?

First, please make sure that you have open Sonar on your mobile Dolphin. And then speak clearly and loudly to it with the validation phrase the extension has displayed. If the words matched, you’ll log in successfully right away.

4.     Do I have to log in to extension with the exact same account that I used to login on mobile Dolphin?

Yes. If you log into desktop and mobile with different accounts, you will not be able to sync and sending web content.

5.   How do I send a webpage to my other connected devices?

Select a webpage you would like to send. Click on the Dolphin extension icon on the top right or left of URL bar.  Select device and presto!  [This will not work if you are on an empty page.]

6.   How do I send directions to my mobile Dolphin?

Go to Google maps and select “Get directions”. The “Send to Mobile” button will appear below the point A/B text boxes. Tap “Send to Mobile” button and select the desired device. Simple as that.

7.   How do I send images to my mobile Dolphin?

Select the image you would like to share. Right click image and select “Send Image to Dolphin”.

8.   How do I send phone number or selected text to my mobile Dolphin?

Highlight the desired phone number or text, right click and choose “Send to mobile”. Your mobile device will then prompt you to “Call” or “SMS” the number or text.

9.    How do I view my extension profile?

Open the extension, and click on your profile name. This will open your Dolphin Connect settings and enable you to view your profile information.

10.   I don’t want the “Send to Mobile” button show on my desktop Google Maps. How can I disable it?

Open the extension, and click on your profile name to access Dolphin Connect settings. You can disable “Show Dolphin Button” option here.

11.     I only want to sync my bookmarks or tabs. How can I disable other the options?

Open the extension, and click on profile name to access Dolphin Connect settings. Here you can disable “Bookmark” or “Open Tabs” under “Sync Type”.

12.     How do I rename my computer name to distinguish it from the others?

Open the extension, and click on your profile name to access Dolphin Connect settings. Rename your computer in the box under Computer Name.

13.     How do I customize my shortcut for each device?

Open the extension, and click on your profile name to access Dolphin Connect settings. You can edit your shortcut for each connected device under “Shortcut”.

14.   Can I delete a device from my connected device list?

Yes. Open the extension, and click on your profile name to access Dolphin Connect settings. Then enter “Advanced Setting via Web Management”, there you are able to delete devices.

15.   Where can I view the amount of my synced bookmarks/tabs?

Open the extension, and click on your profile name to access Dolphin Connect settings. Enter “Advanced Setting via Web Management”, and view how many bookmarks/tabs you’ve synced.

16.   Can I stop the extension from syncing my data?

Yes. Open the extension, and click on your profile name to access Dolphin Connect settings. And then enter “Advanced Setting via Web Management”, and can click “Stop syncing and delete data” button. But by doing this, you’ll completely log out Dolphin Connect on all devices.
