Super Fans! We are so proud to have just launched Dolphin Browser v9.0 + Jetpack but we still need your help.
We would not have made the progress that we did without you the past few month, so thank you so much! We are excited to say we truly have reached a new level – the highest scores in top HTML5 and JavaScript benchmarks.
But with so many types of Android phones and OSs we need you to help us make sure that everything is in tip top shape.
So we challenge you to test out Dolphin Beta on your phone. All you have to do is pick a test and write the numbers below.
Here is how we are currently stacking up. Let us know if you are getting anything different.
- 480 Highest score on html5.com
- 1394 on Google’s benchmark test Octane
- 1413.2ms – the fastest score on Javascript benchmark test, Sunspider
- First and only browser to make it to Ring 2 on Facebook’s HTML5 benchmark test, Ringmark

As always, we love your feedback at support@dolphin-browser.com and on our Facebook and Twitter.
You rock!

We recommend for you

Micromax A110 Canvas 2: Dolphin beta
HTML5: 482 with 3 bonus (HTML5test.com)
Sunspider: 3486.1 ms
Just Cool..!!!
Octane :
Opera mobile: 1194 (incomplete)
Chrome : 3904
Dolphin beta : 3243
Benchmarks are all fine and dandy, but in real world usage, the regular Dolphin browser is still the best. Jetpack and beta still have some chop and loading lag where the regular one does not.
Until screen capture works with it I’ll stay with regular Dolphin.
Dolphin Browser doesn’t seem to work as b4 in Asus Transformer TF201. I unstalled – installed quite a few times but problem continues.
Thanks for your comment.
But can you explain your problem more clearly so that we can fix it for you?
Can you take a look at my previous comment “regressions with 1.30″?
(I assume it didn’t appear because of too many hyperlinks)
Hi Stefan.
Can you tell us what your problem is?

Are you using the latest Jetpack?
And what’s your device modal and Android system version?
Jetpack 1.03 is only for browser 9.0?
I don’t see a jetpack for beta 1.3 in the playstore?
I’m using Asus Nexus 7 with JB4.1.2
Jetpack only works with Dolphin Browser v9.0 and above, not Dolphin Browser Beta.
You can use Dolphin Browser Beta individually for the Engine technology.

The other day, all these numbers were much higher. I wonder why that is. I just ran the scans again and did it a second time immediately after and they changed again. Some feedback would be nice to help me understand. Thanks!
Dana,
The score may vary according to your network condition, performance of your device, and etc.
Hope you can understand.

The first time using this browser was a different way to the internet, its not really faster than my phone, but I can do more. I can even navigate with only my voice. One guest: how many MB cost it for the beta? It says I’ll got not enough space on my device.
I downloaded this app then there is an error it says dolphin lab doesnt support my phone? Im using Samsung Galaxy Fit (Chocobread ROM)
Thanks for your comment, Archer.
Is your device Android 2.3 and ARM 7+?
The new version sucks. I miss the home page button and touch is much slower than before. I want the old version back.
Hi Joe.
The home page button did not miss.
You can show it in URL bar by clicking Menu>More>Settings>Set Homepage>Home Button on URL Bar.
For the performance, we’ll keep improving it.
Touch almost doesn’t work. I have to slide finger 10 times every time I want to scroll page just once. Especially when scrolling up or zooming. It only happens in beta with own engine. No problem in standard Dolphin and other browsers.
Address bar does not dissapear while scrolling. Full screen mode doesn’t work properly – no tabs and addressbar. This happens to be in both Beta with own engine and standard Dolphin.
Thanks for your feedback, Regs.

Hi Team Dolphin,
I’ve noticed a bug in regular Dolphin Browser.
Sometimes when you longpress on a link and then select ‘open in new tab/window’, the browser doesn’t react. And then you have to longpress again and select open in…. again.
Sometimes you even have to do it more than just twice, that it opens the link in a new tab.
I already noticed this bug several dolphin versions before the current one.
But I wanted to let you know now finally with this post.
That’s the only bug which I could find in Dolphin.
So if you would fix that, then this anyway great browser would be almost perfect!
Kind Regards
Nik
Thanks for your comment, Nik.
Can you tell us your device model and Android system version?
And are you using the latest Dolphin v9.0?
Hi,
Sure no problem:
Model is Galaxy Tab 7.7, 3G Version.
Android System version is 4.0.4, Ice Cream Sandwich.
Dolphin Browser version is already the latest 9.0.1.
And you know what, guys? I think you’ve already fixed that bug with the current version of Dolphin, which I’ve also on my tablet right now as I mentioned.
I already tried it several times and it always worked so far.
Great job, team dolphin!
Kind regards
Great!
If you have any further question, feel free to let us know.
Hi,
my bad. I cheered too early.
The bug is still there, also in latest Dolphin Version 9.0.1.
Can’t send you a crah report this time unfortunately, because it doesn’t crash.
It just doesn’t react sometimes as I describes the problem.
Hope you can fix it anyway.
Regards
Nik
Thanks.
We will try out best to make Dolphin Beta better.
What happened to the scroll to top button that used to appear in the left-hand bottom corner of the screen? When I upgraded to v. 9.0, the button vanished. Is this phenomenon a “feature” or a bug?
We are trying to fix the issue now.
Stay tuned.
Why is Dolphin beta 2x slower than Chrome here?
Dolphin beta or Dolphin 9 w/jetpack – 6317ms Sunspider
Chrome: 3570 ms Sunspider.
Overall I get better HTML5 performance in Chrome than in Dolphin Beta or jetpack.
Do I need to enable something in Dolphin to get better performance?

No need, Chris.
But then why it is slower than Chrome can you help me pls?
If so, can you tell us your device model?

I installed on 4.0.4 and getting this error when I open it. “Sorry, Dolphin Browser has been installed incorrectly. Please try to relieve space on your phone…..”
Any solution?
So do you have enough space on your phone?
H, Thanks for the reply.
I have enough space in phone. about 180 MB free space.
I have also installed Dolphin Browser 9.0.0 . It works perfectly well. Not a single problem.
One information regarding.
As I told, DB 9.0.0 works perfect in my tablet. I did the following test.
1. I opened a page using DB 9.0.0.
2. It opens perfect.
3. In the web page, I long press a word, say “shirt”
4. Now search tab-bar opens in the top side of DB.
5. I choose “web search” option.
6. Now a window opens. It asks for choosing the browser, DB 9.0.0 or DB 1.1.0 beta.
7. I choose DB 1.1.0 beta.
8. Now DB 1.1.0 beta opens and does the web search of the word “shirt”
9. It displays the web search result using default google search.
10. Now message having “sorry, DB is installed incorrectly..” error window is open on top.
11. I am not able to close the window.
12. If I click cancel button, the DB 1.1.0 force closes.
Glad you like it!
I get 493+3 and passed the two first rings, though sometimes fails ring 1 dues to performance issues in Workers.
Are there plans to support ARMv6 devices? that would be great!
Sorry Chris.
We don’t have plan to support ARM6 devices right now.
