Dolphin v9.0/Jetpack is our latest public version. Dolphin Beta is where we test out new stuff. 9.0 is more stable but beta is newer.
I have a Toshiba Thrive (AT 100). Would it be a benefit to me to install jetpack? I am loving version 9.0 of Dolphin and would REALLY like to get the top of page feature back.
Can you try to update to v9.0.1 and see whether it fixed the problem?
And is your device with Android 3.0? If yes, Dolphin Jetpack cannot support it.
I googled alot yesterday and cannot find a way to stop the auto switching of tabs. I mean for example, Im browsing a current tab and clicked on a link in it, I dont want to switch to the new link, I want to stay on the tab im currently viewing. Im desperate to find a fix cause I tried alot of browsers but found out that dolphin is the best so far, if I cant find a fix I have no choice but to go back to chrome, thanks in advance. If you want to open a link in the current tab, please turn off Open in New Tab option under Menu>More>Settings>Lab.
Please try to enable Open in background under Menu>More>Settings>Lab.
By turning on this option, every link you click on will open in a new tab in background.

This browser causes my tablet to reboot with jetpack on or off equally. Usually a few times a day when no activity is performed sometimes. I can wake my tablet up then scroll a simple page like yahoo.com or google.com and it will freeze then shut my tablet off. It did more often before the jetpack update like 10 times a day as opposed to now like 3-5 times. Its just weird since it usually does it when nothing processor intensive is happening yet i can go to youtube and watch videos for hours with no issues.

This browser has more than an 80% chance of freezing/crashing/rebooting my tablet everytime I use it. Mostly with jetpack off but also with it on sometimes. It happens easily 10 times per day. I went back to stock ICS browser and I have no crashing issues at all.

I now have a Dolphin browser icon and a Dolphin Jetpack icon in my app drawer. Do I need both? Just trying to organize it a little better. That is my only complaint. I must say though, performance is excellent.
My tabs at the top don’t stay down long enough to close or open, it automatically pulls up off the screen. Since a new update, I think.

If you just update Dolphin on Google Play, you can update it directly.
None of your data will be lost.
If you need to uninstall Dolphin first, you can back up your data and sync your bookmarks with Dolphin Connect first, and then reinstall the new version.
OK, you answered my earlier question, thank you very much. But, is there a certain order things should be done? Like, do I d/l the new browser before deleting the old one in order for the bookmarks to be saved properly? And how do I move them to the new browser after it’s installed? I’m sorry, I’m not very savvy in this department, and I don’t want to mess this up and lose my bookmarks. Thanks in advance.
Did you install Jetpack on your device? Yes. I have uninstalled the jetpack. It looks better, I can see the video from the hkej.com but not quite smooth. And does your stock browser have the same problem? Native browser has similar problem too.

I would love to d/l the new Dolphin browser, but I have a ton of bookmarks on my current Dolphin browser. Will it move them all to the new browser after I download it?
Yes, you can back your data first before you uninstall the browser.
Here is how to back up your data:
Click Menu> More> Settings> Privacy & Personal Data> Backup.
Already found it. Needed to download the Add-on first. Works good. Congratulations with 50 million users!

Hi,
after installing the latest dolphin with the jetpack, all remembered form data and passwords are gone. I’ve turned it on in the settings but no success. Samsung Galaxy S2, Android 4.0.4
Whats the difference between the latest Dolphin + jetpack and the Dolphin beta version? Is jetpack included in the beta?
Clearly there isn’t any instructions on how to use jetpack and the night time addon does not appear in the addon bar but I can see that it has been installed by going to the addon options/manager and it is there but I can’t do anything with it.
I have Android 4.0, Droid Razr and Jetpack IS turned on

Useful features removed from Dolphin 9:
-Search text on page (Seriously why remove this?)
-Go to top button (Have to now refresh as it would take too long to scroll all the way up long Web pages)
