Newest beta update from like 2 weeks ago can be SLOOOOOOOOOOW opening pages, even on wifi, but not all pages or all the time. Sometimes links don’t open unless you long press and open in a new tab, noticed most recently on jelmar.com and google, but there have been others. Newest update prior to this beta version had a feature where a bubble popped up to enlarge two links when the screen is so small that it’s unclear which you’re choosing, but new beta doesn’t do that anymore. That was an awesome feature. I have an Evo 4g.

I have dolphin on my nook os version 1.4.3 and it crashes ALL.THE.TIME. The worst is facebook, but it does it on anything. It also randomly reloads the page I’m on. Sometimes two, three, four times straight. The only solution is to exit out of the tab (go to the blank tab with buttons on it for favorite sites), or if it freezes-frequently-to shut the whole device down and restart. Also, I don’t want and cannot use dolphin sonar on the nook, so how do I get rid of it/shut it down? It pops up at random as this feature is not available without google voice (or whatever)-even when I haven’t touched whatever calls it up. I liked the old version of dolphin a TON better than the preloaded nook browser, but something happened-I assume the new update became available-and it stopped working properly. I checked to make sure my nook os was properly updated and it gives me no other problems, so I assume it’s my dolphin browser.

Using a Galaxy Note. I noticed 2 things after the update:
    1. I have to press the menu button just to have the tabs appear, I’m not comfortable with this, is there a way to revert to the old browser format.
    2. Page refreshes when I do something else on my phone. It’s a hassle when using flash (ie. youtube or facebook games). I was in the middle of a “battle” in one of the games when my dad called me. Once I hung up the page reloaded, forfeiting my fight (the game considers a refresh as a forfeit). Anyway to keep the browser from refreshing unnecessarily? It’s kind of a hassle when reading blogs and articles that I have to wait for them to reload when I press the home button or lock the phone temporarily.

      Thanks for your comment, Ben.
      1. Do you mean that Dolphin is in fullscreen mode automatically?
      2. For the refreshing issue, sorry that we can’t fix it right now. For if you run Dolphin in the background, it will create too much cache and then crash the browser. So Dolphin stops in the background and reload the page when you use it again.

      • Ben says:

        Hi,

Yes it’s in fullscreen automatically I think. Although I can still see my notification bar on top but not my tabs.

I really hope you can do something about the refreshing issue. Maybe limit the cache size when running in BG. Sometimes it’s just blogs so I don’t think it should eat up too much memory as they’re mostly just text. I’m in the Philippines and although my network here gives me up to 3MBPs speeds, some areas without a strong connection causes my preloaded page to disappear (ie. when I’m on the train). Thanks!

With todays update (27 sept) I got 456 in the HTML5 test on Sony ST15i mini, running CM9.1 :-)

It’s wiping Google chromed butt in both stability and HTML5 tests LOL.

This feels matured enough to *almost* be a final release. Am I right?

Keep up the good work Dolphin Developers.

Hey there, if possible, could u please help fix this following problem? Thanks in advance.

Problem: In the full screen mode when notification bar hidden, my start page(the blank page) could not be loaded right as expected (the top blank space of the notification bar is still there as if the notification bar had not been hidden.) The initial view of the start page is not full-screened untill any further action i take ig. A table on the screen/press the menu bot.
Then it turns OK with the full screen view on the start page.

Could you please help fix it?

This app beta is usually equal to or twice as fast as the regular dolphin browser hd when loading the same pages. But its missing alot of the useful features the old one currently has like the scroll up to top of page button that in the bottom right corner. Also bringing up the tabs when scrolling a page is absent. Hopefully this gets all the same features as dolphin hd so it can be just as functional.

  12. Randall Bowman says:

Msn.com won’t fully load. Some headers are jumbled. Everything else so far seems to be ok. May just be move version of website.

  13. Brandon says:

Can’t download. zip correctly, only download the zip folder but not the files inside.
