Stay tuned for more updates!

I have samsung galaxy ace (GT-S5830) it is on the list of tested devices but the jetpack doesn’t work whyyy?!?!?!??
Jetpack only supports devices with Android 2.3 + and ARM7.
If your device is not supported, it may not meet the above requirement.
“Dolphin Browser lab doesn’t support your device.”
galaxy ace S5830i
Thanks for your comment, Simmon.
Is your device Android 2.3+ and with ARM7+?
If not, Dolphin Browser Beta can’t support it.

I attempted to install this on my Viewsonic Viewpad 7, but got the error message: “There is a problem parsing the package.”
The device is running the stock Android 2.2 rooted with Gingerbreak. Dolphin Hd with lots of add-ons works fine.
Btw, my two most wanted add-ons are incognito mode and ad block. It looks like there used to be ad ad blocker available, but I can’t find it?
Thanks for your comment, Owen.
Dolphin Browser Beta only supports Android 2.3+ devices.
That’s may be reason why you can’t install the beta.
I’ve try this once. But I hope I can try this much longer. I hope there is dolphin browser on windows phone
more power
Thanks for supporting us.
We don’t have any plan for Window OS now. But stay tuned for more details!

I did not download the browser because I was asked to give permission to access to my private informatio such as contacts, visited websites etc. Isn’t it possible to get a ” silent” version, i.e. One which doesn’t distribute all private information?
Just installed the latest Engine Beta, Xmarks add on doesn’t seem to work. I open all Bookmarks in Xmarks and click on a url, it takes me back to the homepage and does nothing?
Thanks for your comment. Steve.
Can you tell us your device model and Android system version?
Is Galaxy Mini supported? I get an error saying it’s not and it runs fine but I get score 189 on HTML5test
Thanks
I have 2.3.4 and it’s rooted.
Thanks for your comment, Derek.
According to different hardware and software conditions, Dolphin Engine Beta support same devices at different levels.
But we’ll keep improving it and and making it better.
I can’t play flash videos at all in the beta, including in the new 7/12 beta. I get the black video screen and the controls, and I can press the play button and see some progress on the progress bar … but no video. It stays black. Dolphin HD plays them fine.
Thanks for your comment.
Can you tell us your device model and firmware version?
And where did you watch flash video? Can you send us a link to take a test?
Most recent Beta lags a little. Closes browser once page loads, very annoying. Besides the closing pages (and doesn’t recover tab) not too shabby. Going back to regular version. Love Dolphin.
Hi Ebony.
Can you send us your device model and firmware version?
@ dolphinbrowser,
Thank you!
Dolphin browser HD is still my default browser. Just gone back to the play store stable version for now. But I’m looking forward to testing your next beta. Hope your developers have success with stamping out those pesky bugs.
Keep up the good work
Thanks Simon!
Two addon suggestions: incognito addon like how dolphin mini had an on screen button in its tool box. A night addon would be great, it darkens/grays screen and turns words a light blue – try Maxthon browser to understand, it’s in their pop up menu if you slide to the left.
Thanks for your suggestion.
I’ll pass it along.
Flash player still doesn’t work. Now it freezes my phone and I can’t exit the app. I have to kill the app through the system manager. HTC amaze 4g ics 4.0.3
Frizz my Samsung galaxy s2, can’t load pages that I used to visit, then I came to the first beta… It could be nice to have it on the Google market
Thanks for your comment.
We’ll keep improving Dolphin and making it better.
Did you update to the latest APK?
Not as good as the first beta. Web forms are all jumpy when trying to fill out even the form here to comment on the progress. For example the text box for email address has its contents momentarily pasted in the comments text entry box and name in the email box etc.
Also you can no longer claim that dolphin HD is scoring over 450 anymore on the HTML5 test site. I just checked it to see how it’s shaping up and it’s worst. It’s
only scoring 430 now. So it’s sadly deteriorated and isn’t so hot anymore. If I were you, I’d quickly retract your statement that it claims to score over 450 , as that would be false advertising and incorrect.
Also the bug I reported above about find in page isn’t fixed in your new beta. I still don’t have find in page option when I long press on a page. I can only access it via long press on address bar which is extremely inconvenient. Look at my screenshot here for proof that the HTML5 test ics dropped
http://db.tt/QhTjDY0M
Text entry is extremely jumpy too and the cursor is jumping all over the place sadly.
Beta 1 worked almost perfect! But this new updated version is a nightmare and full of little bugs that wasn’t there before.
Whatever you’ve tweaked in this version has affected it’s performance greatly in the negative sense and it’s too rough for me. So I’m going back to first beta again
Kinda disappointing that the HTML5 test isn’t getting more or the same as before. In first beta I tweeted dolphinbrowser a pic of me scoring 467 on twitter. So yeah, as you can see – it’s slipped a bit the score. Sorry for the harsh feedback, but sadly nothing has been improved in this release for me and you need some of that magic you had in making the first beta
Hope the next beta or release improves and regains beta 1′s high performance.
I’ve still the same phone.
Sony Xperia mini running 4.0.4 ics using stock Sony keyboard.
Thanks for your comment again, Simon.
I’ll pass your feedback along.
Dolphin Engine is still not stable yet, so we are trying every way to make it better.
But again, sorry for any issue it has brought to you.
it’s smooth as f**k, but it lags at html5 features like windmill . also, it crashes at use of browsermark.
System used: htc evo 3d, Android 4.0.3@ cool Rom v10. on my desire hd and sensation its the same. forced 2d hardware-accelerated rendering. everything but html5 features is smooth.
Thanks for your comment, Marc.
I’ll pass it along.
Improvement for Dolphin Engine Beta is still in work. Stay tuned for more updates.
Not working good on htc explorer, lagging when scrolling
Thanks for your comment.
This is our first beta.
We’re still working on improving it. Stay tuned for late updates!
Is wildfire s supported as you said it’s tested but it shows me a message that it’s not supported ?
Thanks for your comment.
Though some devices are listed in our device list, if some of their aspects do not match our testing standards, they still won’t be supported.
We’ll keep improving and making it better.
I don’t know if anyone but me cares about keyboard navigation anymore, but it seems shakier in Dolphin Beta. I never really liked the way the arrow keys would only jump the cursor between links or buttons on the page instead of moving independently like in Opera, but even that doesn’t work as well – some links or buttons are impossible to navigate to now, it just skips around them. Or I just can’t find where the focus is at all, either because the blue highlight is so hard to spot, or possibly because it’s just disappeared.
Worse yet, sometimes the down arrow will jump me halfway or even all the way to the bottom of the page, which is really annoying. (It happens a lot on Facebook in particular, for whatever that’s worth)
Droid 3, Android 2.3.4.
Trying to watch videos causes dolphin beta to crash. HTC amaze 4g ice 4.0.3
Where did you watch the video?
Can you send us a url link?
Any and every website. I always watch videos on 49ers.com, espn.com, and a.ny other sports websites. Also sometimes I have links to YouTube videos and it goes to the browser and it freezes and crashes
Thanks Eric.
We’ll fix it in the next update.
Stay tuned!

When I open a second tab, it almost always closes if I click on it, even if I click on the tab marker dead center. Droid 3, Android 2.3.4.
Hi Eli.
This is not a bug, it’s how it works.
If you click on a tab bar, no matter which corner of it, a tab will be closed.
You’re kidding, right? What’s the point of having tabs if we can’t navigate between them?
Hi Eli.
I’m sorry if there is misunderstanding of my previous answer.
The point is that if you open a second tab, just don’t tap its tab bar again or it will close the tab.
For switching tabs, you can click the tabs next to it.
Hope my explanation helps.
I’m not sure I’m following. Are you saying that clicking the tab bar of the active tab will close it? If that’s the intended behavior, then maybe the x should be in the center of the tab bar.
And if you’re saying that I should switch tabs by clicking on the other tab’s tab bar, that’s what I was doing. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it just closes the tab I’m trying to switch to (or possibly the rightmost tab, I’m not 100% sure).
I mean the second situation.
If that always happen to you, I will direct it to the appropriate team member.
And we are sorry if there is any other problem of Dolphin Engine Beta.
Since this is our first beta, we still have a lot of work to do to improve it.
The tabs doesn’t show any more when pulling Web Page down. As well as the go to top of Page icon on the bottom of the page when pulling down Web pages. Pls enable these two features.
The text reflow function is great. Pls keep it.
Hi Stanley.
Did you enable fullscreen?
Problems so far.. can’t see or use any radio buttons or check boxes on some pages.. also player control for HTML5 video not showing.. check on golem.de.. on Samsung note with cm9 so 4.0.4
Thanks for your comment, Olli.

The browser is very fast but my phone gets hot very quickly. No surprise it’s also really hard on the battery. The other things is text entry in this form field. It’s too wide for my screen in portrait mode & doesn’t stay centered so that the cursor leaves the screen. I can scroll sideways but whenever I try to move the cursor the view is centered again.
This is with a Samsung Galaxy Note running Cyanogenmod 9. Thanks for looking into the issue.

“Dolphin Browser lab doesn’t support your device.”
I’m on a Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 on the latest CM7 ROM (2.3.7).
It’s on the list of the automatically tested devices.
If Dolphin doesn’t support your device, this could be there are some technical aspects of your devices do not match our test standards.
And we are sorry that not every device of the same model is supported.
But for your problem, I’ll pass it along and see whether we can fix it.

The speed is great on my Droid 3, but every single time I navigate into a text field I get three “Edit Text / Input Method” popups with a choice between Multi-Touch Keyboard and Swype once I clear all of those, apparently oblivious to the fact that I’m using a physical keyboard. And if I try to escape out of one of the input method boxes instead of accepting it, Dolphin crashes.
Also, my entire password is exposed while I’m keying it, not just letter by letter.
And while the light blue selection halo around whatever has the focus is very pretty, it’s not very visible, and sometimes it seems to just go away completely.
Hi Eli.
Can you tell us your Android system version?
Does it happen to other mobile browser?
Android 2.3.4. This has never happened with the current non-beta Dolphin, or with Opera Mobile.

@ dolphin browser. Thanks for the reply, but please go back and read my reply again.
I said when *i* long press anywhere in the Page on a blank area, I’m *not* getting the pop up menu for find in Page with *this* beta. I only get a pop up if it’s while I’m long pressing on actual text, and even then, I’m only getting cut and paste, share and search options. I am *NOT*getting find in Page option.
Again, in your play store stable release, it works, but in *this* beta it is MISSING. like I said, I can only access find in Page via a setup gesture, or via long pressing the address bar. Hence why I’m asking you why you’ve REMOVED long press find in Page in THIS beta? Unless it’s a bug :-!
Basically, in this beta, long press in a blank area for find in Page is MISSING.
Your guide you posted sadly tells me NOTHING I don’t already know.
So again, on a Sony Xperia Mini, running 4.0.4 ics, find in Page is missing via long pressing on a blank part of the Page in THIS BETA, NOT THE PLAY STORE RELEASE.
Your documentation seems to cover the stable release as far as long press changes in that guide you posted are concerned. .
So what I’m doing is reporting a bug or missing feature in this *beta*
Now I hope you understand what I’ve been trying to say.
Regards,
Simon.
Thanks for the feedback, Simon.
We are really sorry for any inconvenience that it has brought to you.
Since this is our first beta, we still have a lot of work to do to improve it.
So I’ll pass your problem along and see whether we can fix it in the next release.

Update 2
Never mind, found it. Long pressing address bar reveals find in Page, buried in all the options on the drop down list.
You’ve changed that behaviour, yet not documented it?
Long press anywhere in the Page seemed better and easier. Why remove it? Hope you put it back by final release -__-
Hi Simon.
Holding on a blank area on Dolphin, you’ll still find the long press menu with “Find on page” “Select text’ and “Close tab” in it.
And we also addressed the changes in our last blog post:
http://dolphin-browser.com/2012/06/quick-reference-guide-understanding-dolphins-new-design-on-android/
Update ; I can only access find in Page via gestures if I set it up. But long pressing isn’t working
Like I said, in current stable release its there, in the long press options. So is this a bug, or you haven’t fully implemented find in Page yet with your new engine?

Fantastic! Works really well, and I got a score of 457 on that html test site, using a Sony Xperia Mini running stock ics 4.0.4
Only bug, or issue, if you’re still working on it is find in Page. That feature seems to be missing and I’m not sure why? In the latest version in the play store, find in Page works, but oddly, when I long press in the Page with this version, I only get copy and paste options. There is search also, but only for Google, etc.
So find in Page seems to be missing. Hope this will be sorted by final release, as this is something I rely on.
So us this a bug, or ics related?
