Dolphin Browser HD v6.2 launches on Android Market today. A very special point of this update is the new Add-on: Bookmark Sync (Beta).

Bookmark Sync is a new Add-on for Dolphin HD, which aims to help users back up and recover bookmarks via Dolphin account. It is especially helpful to users who need transfer bookmarks between different devices or who concern about losing bookmarks in Dolphin. However, currently it is still at beta stage, and only compatible with Dolphin HD v6.2. To download it, please click here or the QR code below.

Besides, Dolphin HD v6.2 also includes some other new features and improved performance.

  1. Support Webzine in landscape view.
  2. Share webzine content to your Facebook or Twitter account directly.
  3. Add text size option in Webzine view. We add this option under Webzine Settings. Enter Settings, below you will find Webzine Settings tab where you will be able change text size viewing in Webzine mode.
  4. Remove “Confirm when exiting” from Settings. If you don’t want the exit confirm dialog to pop up again, please exit Dolphin by clicking Menu-> Exit
  5. Adjust the accuracy of Gestures
  6. Fix multiple crash bugs in browser and Webzine according to the crash log you sent to us.

To find more stuffs in Dolphin HD v6.2, please download it on Android Market or click the QR code below.

Please add the option of double tapping to reflow text like dolphins mini has!

  2. Andy says:

Why is there no longer a private or incognito mode?

  3. Barbara says:

Will there ever be an option to sort my bookmarks alphabetically? I currently have 59 bookmarks that I imported to my new Galaxy tab and it is frustrating to have to sort it manually.

    Thanks in advance!

  4. js says:

does the latest version (v6.2.0) support facebook chat?

  5. Kevin says:

Is it possible yet to change the default search engine from google.com to something else? I’d rather use google.co.uk for more relevant results.

  6. TimV says:

Dolphin Browser just keeps getting better and better! I’ve been using it for nearly as long as I’ve been an Android owner. Thank you.

Regarding the new “feature” of *Remove “Confirm when exiting” from Settings. If you don’t want the exit confirm dialog to pop up again, please exit Dolphin by clicking Menu-> Exit* though, how do I now minimize Dolphin and return to whatever app had launched it? I can’t figure out how to minimize it other than by using the device’s “Home” button, but then I must relaunch my previous app. I know I’m in the minority, but I liked the previous behavior. Did confirmation HAVE to be removed — was it not possible to fix the “Don’t Confirm” check box setting instead?

  7. jason says:

I find dolphine to be the fastest tabbed browser…. i dont think its slow at all. I love it! Keep up the good work.

  8. Tony says:

It would be nice to be able to lock the address bar and tabs to the top of the page when scrolling.

Also, or alternatively, have some hint the browser is doing something when its loading a page.. you can click and there’s no feedback at all until the page changes several seconds later, so you don’t know if the click is registered.. you click again, just at the wrong moment which falls through to the next page and causes something random to happen.

    • Dolphin Browser says:

      Thanks for supporting Dolphin Browser.
Do you mean that you don’t know whether a link is clicked while a page is loading?
As for your feature request, I will pass it along to our relevant team member.

I would also prefer to have address bar locked… if you are looking at a longer page it is awkward to get to the top…

Does Dolphin browser use trusted CA from android, or does it have its own list ?
Does it bring any protection from recently known rogue certificates (from diginotar) ?

Hey why this DOLPHIN HD latest version 6.2 open most of web page in mobile version like Facebook, gmail, yahoo ,orkut ..?? This problem not happened with previous version of DOLPHIN HD. Thankfully i could still browse all those page in web version in DOLPHIN MINI 2.2 . If in future it’s still going on with both DOLPHIN HD AND MINI .. I will never ever use dolphin browser anymore.

My device Samsung Galaxy S II(2) (Android 2.3.4)

  12. Thommy says:

Hey, unfortunately there is still a bug when opening http://www.chip.de with a sgs2 2.3.4… Just before the page is completely loaded, the browser simply closes, without giving a force close or something. This problems occurs with many other pages… I can’t tell you which other pages, but I have had a lot of closes in the last weeks, but cannot remember the exact homepages…

  13. dacheeba says:

Love the browser. Haven’t had any issues with the update yet. Really, I just wanted to pop over with a suggestion. Is there anyway to add a frame focus function? For instance, if I am over at Facebook, and want to see the ’30 other people like this.” in desktop mode, I have to long press, and open link in a new tab to see all 30, because I can’t scroll in the pop up window. And, that ‘work around’ doesn’t work in most instances, such as pages that have frames pre-loaded. Perhaps a focus toggle gesture? I don’t know, but I think it would do wonders for bringing the desktop experience to mobile devices.

Thanks again for a great browser!

  14. Henry says:

The bookmarks sync brought me back to dolphin. But using this on my asus tablet the address bar and tabs disappear when I scroll down. Every time I want to change tabs I have to press the menu button down the bottom to make it reappear. Is there a way to stop it from disappearing? On such a big screen I don’t see a need for it to disappear.

Keep up the good work. Try and make downloading from file sharing sites working a priority. Thanks!

  15. MrPotter says:

I also have performance problems in the new version of dolphin on my samsung galaxy tab (android gingerbread). How can I downgrade to the last stable version?

  16. Bert Veerman says:

When i click a link the old tab also goes to the new side, not only the new tab

  19. Darren says:

I gues you are still looking at the keyboard lag in Honeycomb ..

  20. AlexNC says:

Suggestions about your new Bookmark Sync feature.

    - please add the ability to sync my PC’s Chrome bookmarks.
    - or, at least, give us a static page for the synced bookmarks that we can bookmark in our browser.
    - or, at least, allow me to import my Chrome bookmarks or an exported html file.
    - bookmarks are pretty useless on my mobile devices until one of the above suggestions is implemented.

  21. Amer Demirovic says:

I gave up on Dolphin because I was slow. Really slow to the point of not being usable. Some pages took minutes to load while the stock browser loaded them in seconds. I jumped in to 6.2beta again and the speed was reasonable. Today I upgraded to the 6.2 market version and it is again unusable. Is there anything I can do to improve speed?
