The pinch zoom with the touch screen is not very responsive. Other than that, the browser is excellent.

  2. WL says:

Its fast. thx for the good job^^ but I can’t connect to my college’s hotspot which require additional login information in a css website. starbucks neither. Any solution?

The new features are great – especially the orientation lock and the built-in homepage which looks beautiful and works fast.

Just one thing i like to suggest:
Make the “onscreen buttons” optional. What about adding a menu called “Onscreen buttons” where you can enable/disable 4 or 5 buttons and choose from a bunch of actions for each them. There may also be an option to adjust the visibility of the buttons (always visible, show on touch [default] )

Basically something like this: (SwitchPro Widgets´s configuration screen)
    http://imagebin.org/127738

    Pros:
    - actions preferred by the user are easily accessible (fullscreen switch, back/forward, bookmarks, open menu, whatever)
    - the buttons can be disabled for people not liking them
    - no need to push the hardware menu-button everytime you need some frequently used action (my main reason)

    Cons:
    - a new settings menu (?)

What do you think about it? :)

Yesterday I did an investigation regarding the upgrade of stock browser in desire and came upon Dolphin Mini. First of all, thank you very much. Your application literally redefined my understanding of mobile browsing: as convenient as stock browser (multitouch to zoom, double tap to autozoom, smooth redrawing while zooming), even faster + *two killer features for me* + unlimited tabs + 1-key tab switch. And I don’t even speak about gestures – I’m a long fan of desktop Opera, so they were very welcome!

While I was playing with my new browser, a small thingie came to my mind. It would be super awesome if Dolphin could open bookmarks in background. With this feature I could open a handful of bookmarks in my regular reading list without having to reopen the bookmarks list every time I open the bookmark. Could you, please, implement this feature?

P.S. I’m very excited about the pace of your releases, but I’m still at preview2 since I simply can’t live with those back/forward buttons that emerge every time I tap the screen. Could you, please, make them configurable in preview4? Pleeeeease.

  6. Ary says:

Very good app..this is where im waiting for..its very clear..and fast…Thanks

  7. Jude says:

    P.S. great browsers!

  8. Jude says:

I like having this Ans HD on my phone but they have both the same name and icon! Perhaps this one could simply be called “dolphin mini”.
    Thanks

it’s nice, and very fast, but it needs to support add-ons/themes before I’ll use it. I know it’s petty, but I really, really dislike the “android green” color. Half of what drew me to Dolphin HD was the option to have a purple theme. :P

  10. Diogo says:

It doesn’t have the option “keep screen on”

    • Tunny says:

Currently Dolphin Browser Mini won’t support so many features as Dolphin Browser HD. So we may not include every feature that in Dolphin Browser HD.

  11. wL says:

It works great. But I can’t get it connected to the web if the hotspot require to logon to an additional login page(such as mcdonald’s restaurant and starbucks wifi). Any solution?

Looks really nice, the only thing I miss so far is the way the address bar scrolls away in Dolphin HD, which is a really great feature to save some space without having to switch to full screen mode.
Do you have plans to adapt the UI of Dolphin HD to be more in line?
An import from Dolphin HD and a way to rearrange speed dial entries would also be nice.

  14. Alexander says:

Nice stuff. One thing i saw directly was different from the other Dolphin Browser versions is that when u pinch to zoom in the text it adjust to the screen but not when u drag the fingers on the screen, would be nice if u fixed that for next update. Im gonna use this instead of the HD version, looks better and everything :) really nice.

  15. ferdous says:

is it work in SAMSUNG GT S5620 os??

  16. Thomas Smith says:

Pleaser consider a standard ‘compact page toggle’ option not unlike the add-on in DOLPHIN HD.

  17. Kristine says:

I do wish u could opt to hide the arrows just like you can hide the gesture button.

  18. Ben says:

Love the browser. Is there any way of turning off the delete cache and other prompts everytime upon exit? Can’t seem to find the toggle in options.

  19. Rob says:

This looks nice. I’ve used dolphin hd, wish that had the built in favorites home screen like this has. How much space will this take in phone. I have an Eris I need ever resource I can get.

  20. Chris says:

Where can I change where it downloads to? Says disk full on mini…hd is fine.

  21. Robin says:

Very nice!!! I am just missinga copy&paste feature…

    • Tunny says:

After you visit a new site, you can find the select text option in the pull out tab of menu. You can see the second screenshot in this post.

  22. Andy says:

This just gets better and better. Best browser for the Android phone – by far.

  23. Artur says:

Also, the download issue has been fixed for me.:)

  24. Artur says:

Looking sharp. I really like the new features especially the favourite bookmarks screen but I feel the performance has dropped a bit. Especially when pulling up the menu, it just stops for a split of a second and then fully appears. Could we have a feature that would allow us to create folders/tags for bookmarks?
